Karen Blixen museum

This museum is located 10 kilometers away from the city and it became famous in 1917 with an Oscar award for the winning movie “Out of Africa”. The museum is located on a farmland with a lot of coffee. While in the museum, travelers will purchase different souvenirs and handcrafts made at the center.
Nairobi tea farm
This was the first pioneer of the tea industry in Kenya which was under AB Mc Donell in 1911. He was the first person to process tea and sell it within Kenya. The farm has been available for now five generations under the management of the granddaughter. There is a farmhouse surrounded by tea plantations and also rain forests with several colobus monkeys.
Elephant orphanage
It was established in 1977 within the Nairobi National Park. The establishment in 1977 was after the death of David Shedrick. He served as the anti-poaching warden in the Tsavo National Park. He worked with his wife Daphne to establish a place to conserve the rhinos and elephants. The was aimed at reinstalling the elephants into the wild. This center aims at rescue, rehabilitation, conservation, feeding, and many others.
Nairobi national museum
The museum is located along the city center on Uhuru Hill Road. In this place, there are several cultural and natural heritage of Kenya. While in the museum, you will have a view of the different attractions containing the history of Kenya right away from the independence time. Karura Forest
This urban forest was gazette in 1932 and it is one of the largest forests within the city. While in this forest, travelers can also see the rivers Gitathuro, Ruaka, and Karura.
