While staying at Aramaga Lodge, visitors can participate in several activities during their safaris, including:

Chimpanzee Tracking

This activity takes place in Kibale National Park, where travelers can encounter various chimpanzee species. Chimpanzee trekking occurs early in the morning and late in the afternoon. The tracked chimpanzees are typically habituated to human presence, which takes about two years to achieve. Groups of up to eight people visit a family of chimpanzees together. To engage in this activity, travelers are required to obtain a chimpanzee trekking permit. The cost of the permit is 250 USD for foreign non-residents, 200 USD for foreign residents, and 180000 UGX for East African residents. Travelers should acquire their chimpanzee permits through reliable and licensed tour operators.

Cultural Encounters

Cultural encounters include a visit to the Tooro Kingdom, where visitors learn about local history and traditions. Participants can engage in activities like cultural dances, tasting local cuisines, storytelling, and more.

Visit the Amabere Caves and Waterfalls

These historical caves have a rich history related to the early Chwezi dynasty. The caves are adorned with stalactites and stalagmites, considered to resemble the breasts of Mother Mwiru. Visitors learn about the fascinating cultural facts regarding the dynasty and also visit the waterfalls.
