Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to a hotel

On your arrival, you will be picked up by our company driver and you will head to your hotel, check in, freshen up, relax, prepare for the tour and dinner, and call it a day.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and afternoon boat cruise

You will be picked up very early in the morning after having your breakfast by the company driver and tour guide. You will be transferred to Lake Mburo National Park and along the way your eyes will be occupied by forests, cattle grazing, and people going their own way, to mention a few. On arrival, you will check in, have lunch, and head to an afternoon boat cruise. During the boat cruise, you will be able to spot different wildlife like zebras, topis, impalas, elands, and buffaloes, to mention a few. Information about the wild animals will be given n to you by your guide who will also help you spot some animals. Taking photos of the wild animals will be done with permission from your guide at a safe distance. After some time, you will head back to your lodge for dinner, and call it a day.

Day 3: Morning game in Lake Mburo National Park and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will take a game drive or nature walk around the park. You will see multiple animals, birds, and plants along the way. Proceed with a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Lunch will be along the way. The drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is about 3 to 4 hours, during your transfer, your eyes will be occupied by different things along the way. Things like people going their own way, birds, cattle grazing, plantations, forests, to mention a few. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Batwa Community Tour

You will wake up early in the morning for breakfast and head to the headquarters for briefing and getting a guide. You will head out to the starting points of different trails for trekking different gorilla families. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park takes about 70 minutes – 7 hours depending on how far the gorilla family is located. During trekking, you will encounter different animals like monkeys, and baboons, and spot different bird species.  When a gorilla family is found, you will be given some time to be in its presence. After you will be given a short break to relax and have your packed lunch you would have carried along from the lodge.

After having your lunch, you will head back to the starting point of the trail with the help of the guide and you will be picked up. You will visit the Batwa. Here, you will get to learn about the different lifestyles of the Batwa people, listen to their stories, and watch them perform their cultural dances. You can also engage yourself in some of these activities with permission from your guide if interested. From the Batwa community, you will head back to your lodge, freshen up, have dinner, and call it a day.

Day 5: Transfer from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up in the morning have breakfast, check out, and head out to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park is approximately 2-3 hours. During this drive, you will see different plantations and spot some birds. On reaching Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check in at the lodge and relax a little. After some time of relaxation, you will be served lunch at the lodge’s restaurant which will be mixed with local and international dishes. After having lunch, you will head out for an afternoon guided nature walk. You will be able to spot or see some wild animals like antelopes, elephants, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and buffaloes, to mention a few. After hours of blending with nature, you will head back to the lodge for refreshment and relax for the rest of the day. Dinner will be served and rest up.

Day 6: Full-day Adventure in Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will wake up very early in the morning have breakfast and head to the park headquarters. After you will board a 4×4 safari vehicle and head for a game drive. From here, you will drive into other sectors of the park while sighting the wildlife. You will be able to see different animals such as Uganda kobs, antelopes, warthogs, buffaloes, and different bird species, to mention a few.

From there you will head back to the lodge for a quick lunch and after head for an afternoon boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel. Have the best experience of your life while cruising the channel that separates Lake Gorge and Lake Edward. You will be able to see different animals along the sores of the channel drinking water such as elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, etc. You will also see water animals like hippos, crocodiles, and different bird species. From the boat cruise, you will proceed back to the lodge for refreshments, and dinner and call it a day.

Day 7: Transfer to Kibale National Park and Bigodi Wetland

Wake up to an amazing breakfast, check out of the lodge, and transfer to Kibale National Park. Along the way you will see different plantations, forests, cattle grazing, and birds, to mention a few. On reaching Kibale National Park, you will visit Bigodi Wetland. You will see multiple bird species. Visit the banana villages and participate in traditional dancing. Check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Kampala – Departure

Wake up to an amazing African coffee and breakfast, and prepare for chimpanzee trekking. When you meet a chimpanzee family, you will be amazed by these amazing gentle creatures. You will be given some time to be in their presence and watch them play around, eat, pick fruits, to mention a few. From there, you will head to the starting point of the trekking trails with the help of your guide. You will be picked up by our company’s driver and head for lunch. Drive to Kampala/Entebbe. The driver will drop you to either a hotel of your choice or airport for an outbound flight. This will mark the end of your 8 Days Uganda gorilla spice tour.
