7 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Tour
The 7 days Rwanda gorilla trekking tour will give you a chance to encounter the wildlife and culture of Rwanda. The Volcanoes National Park will be one of the top list destinations for the amazing gorilla trekking and golden monkey trekking. Additionally, you will do boat safaris and game viewing in the Akagera National Park. More so, chimpanzee trekking in the Nyungwe Forest National Park plus also other 13 primates in the forest will be encountered. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to the hotel in Kigali
Upon arrival at the Kigali airport, you will meet the company guide. He or she will transfer you to your booked hotel in Kigali city for dinner and relaxation. After your dinner, you will be given the highlights of your safari and then you will be left to rest.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park and afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema
After your early morning breakfast, you will proceed with the transfer to the Akagera National Park. The drive to the Akagera National Park will take you about 2 hours and 30 minutes of the day. When you arrive in the park, you will proceed with lunch at the hotel and later you will move to the lake Ihema for the boat cruise. During the boat cruise, you have the opportunity to see some of the big five animals like elephants, buffaloes, and many other wildlife. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer to the Volcanoes National Park
On day 3 of the 7 days Rwanda gorilla trekking tour, you will proceed to the park for the morning game drive. During the game drive, you will see different wildlife species. If you have the luck of the day, you will be able to spot all the big five animals like elephants, leopards, lions, buffaloes, and rhinos. The other wildlife species to see there are the Kobs, warthogs, hippos, zebras, and many others. After, you will proceed to the hotel for lunch. Then when you are done with lunch. Proceed with a transfer to the Volcanoes National Park for the gorilla trekking. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and a sleepover.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Gorilla Guardians Village Tour
You start your morning with an early morning breakfast and then continue to the park headquarters for the briefing about the gorilla trekking. Ensure to have all the equipment and requirements for gorilla trekking in Rwanda. You will proceed with the activity which will last for 1 to 7 hours upon when you meet the gorillas. Once you meet the gorillas, you will have one hour to see them in their natural habitat. Then you will proceed to Guardian Gorilla Village for the cultural experience by the Rwandese culture who are believed to be the former poachers of the park. You will proceed back to the hotel for the dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
In the morning, you will start the day with an early morning breakfast and then you will proceed to the park headquarters. Upon arriving at the park headquarters, you will start with the briefing about the golden monkey trekking. These monkeys live in the Bamboo type of Vegetation. You will start the trekking which will last 2 to 5 hours of the day and upon meeting them, you will have one hour viewing them. Later on, you will proceed with the transfer to the Nyungwe Forest National Park. As you arrive, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk
On your second last day, you will be transferred to the Nyungwe Forest National Park headquarters for the briefing about the chimpanzee trekking. Chimpanzee is believed to be our close relatives sharing DNA of the 98%. Then, you will proceed with the activity which will take 2 to 6 hours of the day upon when you meet the chimpanzee. When you meet them, you will have one hour to view them in their natural habitat. During the chimpanzee trekking, you will be able to see other 13 distinct species. Later on, you will continue to the canopy walk of the forest within the park. In the evening, you will proceed with the transfer back for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer back to Kigali – Departure
On this last day of your safari, you will have a relaxed morning at the hotel and a delicious breakfast. Then after, you will proceed to the transfer to Kigali. On arrival in Kigali, you will have your lunch and then proceed to the airport. Bid farewell to the team and catch your outbound flight.
