Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Kampala. Meet and greet with our company safari guide. He or she will brief you about the 7 Days Masai Mara Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari. You will then embark on the drive to Kibale National Park. Lunch will be along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Wetland Walk
The day will start with an early breakfast, you will go to the Park headquarters for chimpanzee trekking. The park is home to many primate species including red-tailed monkeys and baboons. Upon meeting the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence as you take photos and watch them play. Kibale National Park is home to some bird species including the Rwenzori turaco. Return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will take a nature walk in the Magombe Swamp. The swamp is a haven for birds. You will also tour Bigodi Village and meet the locals in the banana village. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will stop at the Uganda Equator in Queen Elizabeth National Park for pictures. Proceed with an en route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival at the park, check in to your lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community Tour
On the 4th day of your 7 Days Masai Mara Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari, you will visit the critically endangered mountain gorillas. The day starts with a delicious breakfast followed by a briefing at the park headquarters. You will be led by an experienced guide while tracking these endangered species. Once you meet the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. In the afternoon, you will take a tour around the nearby Batwa communities. This is a chance to participate in their chores. These include; brewing local beer, dancing traditional songs, telling stories, and making fire. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve – Kenya
After breakfast, you will be transferred to either Kihihi Airfield or Kisoro Airstrip for a flight to Entebbe International Airport. You will proceed with a flight from Entebbe to Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Full-day game drives in Masai Mara National Reserve
On this day of your 7 Days Masai Mara Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari, you will explore the Masai Mara Reserve. The day will start with an early breakfast followed by full-day game drives in the reserve. You will meet the wildebeests as they migrate in large numbers. They are usually accompanied by predators like lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards. The epic encounter will be on the Mara River as the wildebeests cross from one side to another. Lunch will be under a tree in the vast expanses of the Masai Mara region. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 7: Visit the Masai Villages and Transfer to Nairobi – Departure
After breakfast at your lodge, check out and visit the neighboring Masai villages. Take part in their activities as you bid farewell to the reserve. Lunch will be along the way as you drive to Nairobi. The driver will drop you at a hotel of your choice or Jommo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.
