5 Days Uganda Gorillas and Kayaking Safari

The 5 days Uganda gorillas and kayaking safari will take you through the encounter of Uganda’s large and powerful primates in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and also to the adventure city for kayaking and boat cruises. During the safari, you will encounter the Nile River and the Batwa community in southwestern Uganda. By the time you come to the end of this safari, you will have created everlasting memories. Below is a detailed itinerary for the 5 days Uganda gorillas and kayaking safari.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will start with a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (the home to endangered mountain gorillas). During the transfer, you will make a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. Then you will continue with the transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On arrival in the park, you will be transferred to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and community visit

On day 2, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for the briefing about gorilla trekking. During the briefing about gorilla trekking, you will be highlighted the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. You will go ahead with a gorilla trekking expedition which will take about 2 to 7 hours of the day upon which you will meet the gorillas. Then later you will be transferred to the visit to the Batwa community. While in the community you will engage in the coffee roasting, cultural dances, and many others. This will engage you to learn more about the culture of the Batwa.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala with a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre

You will start with the morning breakfast and then go ahead with the transfer to Kampala. During the transfer, you will make a stopover at Igongo Cultural Center for lunch. You will continue to Kampala and on arrival, you will be transferred to Kampala to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Kayaking in Jinja

On your second last day, you will start with a transfer to Jinja and the transfer will take about 3 hours. On arrival in Jinja at the starting point of kayaking, you will dress up the safety gear for kayaking and then go for a briefing. Start the activity which will take about 4 to 5 hours of the day. This is one of the highlights of your 5 days Uganda gorillas and Kayaking safari. Then you will go ahead with the transfer back to the hotel for relaxation for the rest of the day.

Day 5: Boat cruise at the source of the Nile and transfer to Kampala

You will start with a morning breakfast and then you will go ahead with a transfer to the source of the Nile. While at the source of the Nile, you will go ahead with a boat cruise and enjoy the scenic views of the area. Later on, you will proceed with the transfer back to Kampala. On arrival in Kampala, you will either be transferred to the hotel of your choice or the airport for your outbound flights. This will mark the end of your 5 days Uganda gorillas and kayaking safari.
