Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On arrival at the Entebbe International Park, you will meet our professional driver guide. He or she will brief you about the 5 Days Uganda Golf and Wildlife Safari. Later on, you will proceed with a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The transfer will take about 8 to 7 hours of the day. The long road is worth the effort as it involves driving through lush green vegetation, trading centers, and swamps. Lunch will be along the way. You will be transferred to the lodge for dinner and overnight on arrival in the park.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Tour

Day 2 of 5 Days Uganda golf and wildlife safari will start with breakfast. Go ahead with a drive or walk to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking. During the briefing, you will be highlighted about the dos and don’ts about the gorilla trekking. Once the briefing is done, you will be assigned a professional ranger or guide. Follow his or her instructions and begin the real gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi. You will walk through the impenetrable forests which can be slippery sometimes but the effort is worth it. You will meet the gorilla family you wanted. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend at least one hour in their presence. After this amazing hour, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Later on, you will visit the Batwa communities near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Spend time with the Batwa who are believed to be ancient inhabitants of the forests. During this community tour, you will engage in activities like cultural dances, coffee roasting, and many others. In the evening, you spend a night near Lake Bunyonyi and enjoy its tranquility.  Lake Bunyonyi has many islands some of which are of historic significance among the natives. Have dinner and spend a night over.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and afternoon boat cruise

On this day, you will start with a delicious morning meal. Then continue with the transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. You will pass through endless rolling hills. You may also hike to the top of Biharwe Hill and see the eclipse monument. Here, you will enjoy scenic views of Mbarara city and learn the history of the Ankole Kingdom. On arrival in the park, you will start with lunch. Later on, you will join a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. This is a chance for you to spot aquatic species like crocodiles, hippos, and rhinos. The lake is home to many water birds. A conversation with local fishermen on the lake is equally amazing. In the evening, you will check in to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning game drive and transfer to Entebbe

On the 4th day of 5 Days of Uganda golf and wildlife safari, you will start with a morning game drive within the Lake Mburo National Park. During this game drive you will see several wildlife species including leopards, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, impalas, and many others. This activity can be replaced with a cycling tour or a guided nature walk in the park. You may as well visit the neighboring villages to see the longhorn cows of Banyankole. Then you will continue with a transfer to the Entebbe which will take about 4 to 5 hours of the day. Lunch will be along the way. You will also make a stopover at the Uganda Equator and take as many photos as you wish.

Day 5: Play Golf and transfer to Entebbe International Airport

You will start the day with a morning refreshment and continue with a drive to the Entebbe Golf Course for the golf games. The activity will take about 4 to 5 hours of the day. Playing golf in Uganda is such an amazing experience that every enthusiastic tourist should look out for. Enjoy scenic green vegetation at the golf course. Relax and rewind as you sip a bottle of beer and have a word or two with other golfers. It is such moments that create everlasting memories on any Uganda safari. Later on, you will continue with the transfer back to a hotel for lunch and refreshments. The driver or guide will drive you to Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flights.
