5 Days Uganda Birding Safari
On the 5 days Uganda birding safari, you will visit several destinations of bird species. during the safari, you will encounter a quite number of bird species. The Mabamba wetland for the shoebill and other bird species, the Lake Mburo National Park offers a diverse forest encounter, and the Entebbe Zoo the amazing and rich wildlife. While in the Lake Mburo National Park, the game drive or game viewing and also the boat cruise on the Lake Mburo within the park. During the safari, you will be fully immersed in the Uganda birding wildlife.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Birding around Entebbe (Botanical gardens, and swamp areas of Lake Victoria)
On arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the Entebbe Zoo (UWEC) for the start of your birding session. While at the zoo, you will see a quite number of bird species and also you will see different wildlife in captivity. Later, you will be transferred to the Botanical Gardens for your lunch, and also after you will continue to the birding session in the gardens. Explore the shores of Lake Victoria as you spot both common and rare species of birds. In the evening, you will check in to your hotel for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 2: Birding in the Mabamba Wetland
After our early morning breakfast on day 2 of the 5 days birding tour, you will have an early transfer by water to the Mabamba Wetland. Upon arrival, you will start with the shoe bill tracking as you site other bird species. You will have your full day in the wetland in search of the bird species and you will also have the opportunity to see the mammals in the wetland like sitatunga, vervet monkeys, and many others. The highlight of the day will be meeting the rare shoebill stork. Later, you will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to the Lake Mburo National Park and afternoon boat cruise
You will start over the day with the early morning breakfast and head to the transfer to the Lake Mburo National Park which will be about 4 hours. On arrival in the park, you will start over with lunch and then go ahead for the boat cruise on Lake Mburo. During the boat cruise, there are several wildlife like buffaloes, hippos, impalas, and many others. The bird species in the park include; an African fishing eagle, grey crowned crane, pied kingfisher, greater painted snipe, and many others

Day 4: Full-day birding in Lake Mburo National Park
On your second last day, you will be transferred to the Rubanga Forest for an early morning birding session. The forest is home to a number of the species in the park and then later you will return to the lodge for relaxation. In the afternoon, you will return to the valleys of the Mirit and Warukiri swamps also for the birding session the species include; the African fishing eagle, greater painted snipe, Black bellied bustard, yellow-fronted tinker bird, and many others.

Day 5: Morning game drive and transfer to the airport
On your last day of the safari, you will have an en-route game drive as you exit the park for the transfer to Kampala. During the game drive, you will see species like buffaloes, impalas, zebras, kobs, and many others. You will continue with the transfer to the transfer to Kampala in Entebbe for the outbound flight or hotel of your choice which will make the end of your 5 Days Uganda Birding Safari.
