Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to the Volcanoes National Park
You will be picked up from the Kigali airport by the company guide who will transfer you to Kigali city for relaxation and lunch. After your lunch, you will be highlighted about the safari. Then you will go ahead with the transfer to the Volcanoes National Park which is about 2 hours and 30 minutes to the park. As you arrive in the park you will proceed to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes National Park
On day 2 of the 5 days Rwanda primate safari, you will start the day with an early morning breakfast. You will make a start at the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking. Then you will continue with the gorilla trekking in the park. The activity will last for 2 to 7 hours upon where you meet the gorillas. When you meet the gorillas, you will have one hour to interact with them learning and seeing their way of life. In the evening, you will visit the Gorilla Guardians Village for an amazing cultural tour. here, you will take part in many activities including brewing local beer and traditional dances. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
You will start your day with breakfast and then drive back to the park headquarters for the briefing about the golden monkeys. Proceed with the golden monkey trekking which takes a shorter time compared to the gorilla trekking within the Volcanoes National Park. The activity will last for about 3 to 4 hours of the day including the one hour spent with the monkeys. Then you will embark on the transfer to the Nyungwe Forest National Park. Then, you will drive to the Nyungwe Forest National Park will take about 5 to 6 hours.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in the Nyungwe Forest National Park
On day 4, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for the briefing about the chimpanzee trekking and its requirements. Later, you will proceed with the activity with the Nyungwe forest. The chimpanzee trekking activity will last for 2 to 6 hours of the day upon where you will meet the chimpanzee. When you meet the chimpanzee, you will have 1 hour to observe them in their natural habitat. Later on, you will proceed with the canopy walk in the park with one of the amazing views of the park. In the evening you will return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali – Departure
You will have a relaxed night and you will start your last day of the 5 days Rwanda primates safari with a morning breakfast. Then, you will go ahead with the transfer to Kigali city which is about 4 hours of travel. Upon arrival in Kigali at lunchtime, have lunch. Then, you will either be dropped at the airport or hotel of your choice which will mark the end of the safari.
