Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Kigali International Airport. You will meet our professional driver guide. Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking and Gorilla Guardian’s Village tour
This is one of the highlights of your 5 Days Rwanda Congo Gorilla Trekking Tour. The day will start with a delicious meal at your lodge. You will go to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will proceed with your amazing gorilla tour experience in the forests of Volcanoes National Park. Along the way, you will meet the amazing golden monkeys. The park is also home to many bird species including some of the Rift Valley endemic species. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will spend one hour in their presence. Make the most of it as you learn and take many pictures. Ensure to strictly follow the rules and regulations.
Return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the neighboring Gorilla Guardian’s Village. This was formerly known as the Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village. Kahuzi Biega National Park is famous for being home to the eastern lowland gorillas. Unlike mountain gorillas, lowland gorillas dwell in lowland areas. This makes their tracking an easier venture compared to the challenging mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 4: Lowland gorilla trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park

Later on, you will embark on an amazing lowland gorilla trekking. This is a completely different activity from mountain gorilla trekking. The terrain is somewhat less challenging and the behaviors of the gorillas are unique. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence. Later, you will return to your lodge for lunch, dinner, and overnight.
