5 Days Rwanda Apes Safari
During the 5 days Rwanda Apes Safari will take you through the primates that are within Rwanda’s magical destinations. During the safari, you will visit the Nyungwe Forest National Park, Volcanoes National Park, and Musanze Caves. The safari will start in Kigali and end in Kigali. You will engage in several activities like the gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, and cultural tours.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After a pick-up in Kigali at any point, you will be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park. For the transfer, you will take about 4 hours to reach the park. On arrival in the park, you will start over with lunch and then rest for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and community tour
While on the day, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking. You will be highlighted about the dos and don’ts about the gorilla trekking. Then you will go ahead with the activity which will last about 2 to 7 hours of the day. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later on, you will visit the gorilla guardian village and during the visit to the village. You will engage in the different activities in the village like cultural dances, banana brewing, coffee roasting, and many others.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
After your early morning breakfast, you will start a transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. During the transfer, you will make a stopover to the visit to Musanze caves. Then you will go ahead with the transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. As you arrive in the park, you will be transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
You will start over with an early transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the chimpanzee trekking. You will move with your packed breakfast and lunch. Upon meeting the chimps, you will spend one hour in their presence. Then later after the chimpanzee trekking, you will go ahead with the canopy walk in the park. This activity will take about 2 hours and during this walk, you will see several primates in the park.

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali – Departure
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on the drive to Kigali. Traverse the rolling hills of Kigali and realize that it is indeed the land of a thousand hills. On arrival in Kigali, you will either be transferred to the airport for your bound flights or to a hotel of your choice. Bid farewell to our team and mark the end of your special 5 days Rwanda Apes Safari.
