5 Days Queen Elizabeth and Gorilla Tour

This 5 days Queen Elizabeth and Gorilla tour will take you to the Savannah Park Queen Elizabeth National Park and the Impenetrable forests of Bwindi. You will enjoy a boat cruise, a game drive, and the best views of the park. Gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is a World Heritage Site. Bwindi is also home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas. The park is divided into 4 major sectors with 26 habituated gorilla families. Your gorilla trekking safari will be done in any one of the sectors. The one hour spent in the presence of the gorillas is a highlight on your 5 days Queen Elizabeth and Gorilla tour.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

 You meet the company guide who will pick you up from the airport. He or she will brief you on the 5 days of queen Elizabeth National Park and the gorilla tour. Then you will proceed with the transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival at Fort Portal, you will go ahead with lunch and later continue to the transfer to the park. You will have an Equator experience at Kikorongo as you enter Queen Elizabeth National Park. As you arrive in the park, you will be transferred to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Early morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

After your early morning breakfast, you proceed with the morning game drive within the northern sector of the park. During the game drive, you see different wildlife like lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, warthogs, and many others. Then you will head back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, you will head to the Mweya Peninsular for the boat cruise. While on the boat cruise, you will see wildlife like elephants, hippos, buffaloes, monitor lizards, bird species, and many others.

Day 3: Game drives in the Ishasha sector and transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Upon day 3 of the 5 days queen Elisabeth and Gorilla tour, you have to transfer to the southern sector of the queen Elizabeth national park. In this sector, you will have the opportunity to spot the tree-climbing lions, leopards, elephants, and many other wildlife. Later you will continue with the transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival in the park, you will check into the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: Mountain gorilla trekking and Batwa Community Tour

On day 3 of the 5 days queen Elizabeth and Gorilla tour, you will head into the park for the ultimate gorilla trekking in the Bwindi. You will proceed with the gorilla trekking in the forest immediately after breakfast. The gorilla trekking activity will last for 2 to 7 hours of the day upon which you will meet the gorillas. Then as you come across the gorillas, you will have 1 hour viewing in their natural habitat. After the gorilla trekking, you will head to the community for interactions with the Batwa who are believed to be the inhabitants of the forests. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala – Departure

You will start the day with a morning breakfast and then proceed with the transfer to Kampala. Have an equator stopover. Lunch will be along the way. As you arrive in Kampala, you will be transferred to Entebbe for either outbound flights or drop to the hotel. This will mark the end of your 5 days queen Elizabeth and Gorilla tour.
