Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On the first day of the 5 days Kazinga Channel boat and gorilla safari, you will meet our driver guide. He or she will be briefed about the safari. Hit the road to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. In this transfer, you will make a stopover at the Uganda Equator.  Here, you will do some experiments and take photos. Later, you will continue with the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in to a lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour

You will start with breakfast and then proceed to the park headquarters. Here, you will be briefed about the trekking adventure. In this orientation, you will be highlighted about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Then, you will start tracking. Only 8 people are allowed to visit one gorilla family each day. The activity will take about 2 to 7 hours. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will view them at a distance of 7 meters. After the gorilla trek, you will visit the neighboring Batwa Villages. Here, you will engage in activities like cultural dances, local cuisines, coffee roasting, and many others. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

This day will start with breakfast. You transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Make sure you drive through the southern sector of the park, also known as the Ishasha Sector. This sector is famous for being home to tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, kobs, warthogs, and many others. Check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel

You will start the day with breakfast before going for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Take a game drive around the park and explore as deep as you can. A typical game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park is always a blessing to tourists. It comes with seeing animals like elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and many more. Make use of your safari guide. Break for lunch and relaxation after two good hours of adventure. In the afternoon, you will join a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This is the waterbody that connects Lake Edward to Lake George.  Here, you will spot a variety of wildlife like elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and crocodiles. Return to your lodge in time for dinner. Dine and spend the night over.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala – Departure

On the final day of the 5 days Kazinga Channel boat and gorilla safari, you will start with breakfast. Then, transfer to Kampala. Upon arrival in Kampala, you will be transferred to a hotel or airport for your outbound flight. This will be the end of your amazing 5 days Kazinga Channel boat and gorilla safari.
