5 Days Easter Holiday in Rwanda

We are introducing to you the 5 days Easter holiday in Rwanda an extraordinary adventure into the Land of a Thousand Hills. In these 5 days, you will visit amazing safari destinations and do amazing activities. The destinations to be visited include; Kigali City, Gorilla Guardian’s Village, Volcanoes National Park, Nyungwe Forest National Park, and Lake Kivu. In this Easter holiday safari, you will be able to encounter the large primates of the country that are endemic through gorilla trekking and Chimpanzee tracking.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick and transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet our professional driver guide. He will brief you about the 5 Days Easter Holiday in Rwanda. Start with a Kigali City Tour where you will visit the several attractions and historical sites in the city. Some of these sites include the Genocide Museum, Presidential Palace, Kimironko Market, and many others.

Later on, you will break for lunch within Kigali and then you will go ahead with the transfer to Volcanoes National Park in northwestern Rwanda. Once you arrive at the park, you will be checked into a lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Gorilla Guardian’s Village Tour

Day 2 will start with breakfast and proceed with the transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking. In this briefing, you will learn about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Rwanda. You will go ahead with the tracking of mountain gorillas which will take about 2 to 7 hours of the day. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will have 1 hour to view them. Later on, after tracking the gorillas, you will visit the gorilla Guardians’ Village where you will witness Rwandese culture. In this village, you will engage in activities like cultural dances, banana brewing, coffee roasting, and many others.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

With the early rise of day 3 of the 5 days Easter Holiday in Rwanda, you will continue with the transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park after breakfast. In the transfer, you will make a stopover at the Musanze caves and later continue with the transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Upon arrival at the park, you will enjoy lunch and then you will be left to rest for the day as you prepare for the chimpanzee trekking the following day.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Transfer to Lake Kivu

The second last day will start with an early morning transfer to the park headquarters for chimpanzee trekking. You will go ahead with the tracking chimpanzees. The activity will last for 2 to 7 hours. After tracking chimpanzees, you will transfer to Lake Kivu for relaxation and overnight.

Day 5: Beach life on Lake Kivu and transfer to Kigali

On the last day of the 5 days Easter Holiday in Rwanda, you will start with the morning breakfast and then go ahead with the beach life on Lake Kivu. Later on, you will proceed with a transfer to Kigali. Once you arrive in Kigali, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flights.
