Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will meet our driver guide. He or she will brief you about the 5 Days Bwindi Gorillas and Mundari Tribe Tour. Later on, you will embark on a drive to southwestern Uganda – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will make a stop at the Uganda Equator for photography. Lunch will be along the way. Traverse the endless rolling hills, swamps, lush green vegetation, and urban centers. You will then check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight as soon as you arrive.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Tour

This is one of the iconic days on your trip to Uganda and South Sudan. You will wake up to a delicious breakfast. Report at the park headquarters for clearance and briefing. Later on, you will be assigned a ranger and fellow trackers. The adventure begins there and then. Gorilla trekking tours in Uganda involve tourists in a walk through rugged terrain and thick forests. For those who have not been here, it sounds like a rough challenge but those who have conquered the challenge can testify to the beauty of resilience. How about you be the one to experience this? Upon meeting the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their presence. Take as many photos as you want but follow rules and regulations. You will return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Batwa villages for a cultural experience. Take part in traditional dances and learn about the history of Bwindi and Batwa. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 3: Fly to South Sudan via Kigali International Airport and drive to Mundari Villages

Wake up to a delicious meal and drive to Kigali (Rwanda). You may do a city tour and visit local markets and the Genocide Museum. Catch a flight to South Sudan – Juba. Upon arrival, you will meet our company guide. Meet and greet and take a drive to the Mundari communities. You will spend a night at a campsite interacting with the locals.

Day 4: Mundari Community Tour

Today, you will spend time with the Mundari people. This is a chance to learn about their traditions, ways of life, and culture. The Mundari tribe are strong and ancient herdsmen.  Do not be surprised when you see men with v-shaped marks on their faces. Not even by naked seeing them without shirts. The sun is always scorching in South Sudan. You will see how they do cattle blowing and many other activities. Spend yet another night at a camping site with the Mundari herdsmen.

Day 5: Transfer to Juba – Departure

Even good things come to an end so is your trip. It is time to pack your bags and embark on a drive back to Juba for an outbound flight. The driver will drop you off at the airport. This will mark the end of the 5 Days Bwindi Gorillas and Mundari Tribe Tour.
