Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On the 1st day of your 4 days luxury Bwindi gorilla trekking and Bunyonyi tour, you will be transferred to the Bwindi impenetrable national park. The journey will take about 8 to 9 hours of the day. You will have a stopover at the equator for photography and proceed to Mbarara for lunch. Later on, you will continue to the home of the mountain gorillas in the Bwindi impenetrable national park. Upon arrival, you will check in to the lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for the briefing about the amazing gorilla trekking. From here, you will start with the briefing about the gorilla trekking. Upon the start of the gorilla trekking, you will proceed to the forests of the Bwindi impenetrable national park in search of these magical apes. The park is home to half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. The activity will last for 2 to 7 hours of the day. You will have one hour to see the gorillas in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, you will visit the neighboring Batwa communities for a cultural tour. during the tour, you will learn about the lifestyle of the Bakiga and Batwa. These are believed to be the ancient dwellers of the forests of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In the evening, you will transfer to a lodge in Lake Bunyonyi and spend the night over.

Day 3: Explore Lake Bunyonyi

You will have a leisurely breakfast for day 3 of the 4 days luxury gorilla trekking and Bunyonyi tour. Later on, you will visit Lake Bunyonyi for recreational activities like boat rides, bike riding, and other activities. This lake is one of the three lakes formed by a dam formed by the lava blocking a river. Additionally, Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa. This lake has a series of islands that have a different history. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Entebbe – Departure

On your last day of the 4 days luxury gorilla trekking and Bunyonyi tour, you will be transferred back to Kampala for the transfer to the airport or hotel. You will stop in Mbarara for lunch and the Igongo Cultural Center tour. Later on, you will proceed to Kampala to Entebbe. You will either choose to be dropped off at the airport for an outbound flight or at the hotel in Kampala. This will mark the end of your safari.
