Day 1: Kigali City Tour and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Welcome to Rwanda – the land of a thousand hills for your 3 days Rwanda Chimpanzee trekking safari. The safari will start as soon as you arrive at the Kigali International Airport. The driver guide will give you an overview of your safari. Later on, you will embark on a tour of Kigali city. This involves visiting places like the Genocide Museum, Nyamatta Church, and local markets. Lunch will be along the way as you head to Nyungwe National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and a sleepover.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy walk
This is the day! The primates’ day on your 3 days Rwanda Chimpanzee trekking safari. The day will start with a delicious meal at your lodge. Remember the activity starts early in the morning, so be ready for that. You will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing session before the actual trekking. You will be assigned a professional ranger. The search for chimps starts there and then. You will be able to meet these human-like apes (chimps). Upon meeting them, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their presence. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will be allowed to take a walk on top of the suspended bridge on top of Nyungwe Forest. This walk takes you through the lush green vegetation. You get a chance to see many bird species. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali – Departure
On the final day of your 3 days Chimpanzee trekking safari, you will start with a delicious breakfast. Check out of the lodge and drive back to Kigali. Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport, bid farewell to our team. Catch your outbound flight and mark the end of your safari.
