Details of the 3-day Akagera National Park Safari
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Akagera National Park – Evening Game Drive
On this day, you will be picked up by our representative who will be your tour guide/driver for the next 3 days. Your guide will take you through a briefing of the 3-day Akagera National Park Safari.
After the briefing, you will embark on a scenic drive taking you for about 2 hours to Akagera National Park through the vibrant cities in the upcountry and lush greenery. Arrive at the park and proceed to the lodge for your lunch. After lunch, you will have an evening game drive that will introduce you to the ecosystems of the park. Expect to see a variety of wild animals, including elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos, zebras and leopards. The evening game drive shall take you for about three hours and later return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Safari
Rise early with a mouth-watering breakfast and later proceed for a morning game drive in the park where you will have chances to see a variety of animal species including lions, hippos, giraffes, zebras, elephants, rhinos, and spot different bird species. The game drive shall take you about 3 hours and later return to the lodge for your lunch. After lunch, embark on a thrilling boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you will have a chance to spot a variety of water bird species and wildlife such as crocodiles and hippos. Return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Return to Kigali International Airport.
Rise early and embark on an early morning game drive to catch up on some of the missed sightings with a beautiful sunrise. Spot some animals and later return to the lodge for your breakfast. After breakfast, check out and embark on a thrilling 2-hour drive to Kigali International Airport. Arrive at the airport and check in for your departure as you conclude the 3-day Akagera National Park Safari.
