Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Nanyuki to old Moses Camp (3300M)
On arrival in Nairobi, you will start with a transfer to Nanyuki. You will meet your guides who will take you through the hike at the base of Mount Kenya. Then you will go ahead with the hike where you will be escorted by the guides, porters, and cooks. Proceeding with the hike to the highest point, you will make a stopover at the old Moses Camp which stands at an elevation of 3300 meters. You will experience a change in the vegetation cover of the area. Then you will stay there overnight.

Day 2: Hike to Shipton’s Camp
After your breakfast, you will start over with the morning breakfast and then proceed with an 8-hour hike to the Shipton’s camp. Upon arrival at the camp, then continue the hike of 900 meters to the Surreal Mackinders which is covered by the strange lobelia and groundsel. This is the day your hike will prove to be somewhat challenging but hold on, the experience is equally rewarding. The extensive views of the surrounding areas and encountering plant and bird species will bless your journey. With the hike between the glaciers, you will camp at the Shipton’s hut.

Day 3: Hike to Point Lenana and descend to Sirimon Park
On the last day of the hike, you will start over with the early morning hike to the highest point Lenana. You will arrive at the sunrise at the highest peak of the mountain. Then later on you will descend back to the Sirimon gate. On arrival at the gate, you will continue with the transfer to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will either be transferred to the airport for your outbound flights or hotel of your choice.
