3 Days Mount Gahinga Hiking Safari
On the 3 days Mount Gahinga hiking safari which will start from Kampala to the Virunga region in southwestern Uganda Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Mount Gahinga is among the 8 volcanic mountains within the Virunga region situated in Rwanda, Uganda, and the democratic republic of Congo. The hiking of the mountain will take about 4 to 6 hours to ascend and descend.

Day 1: Pickup and transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
While on the Uganda safari to the 3 days Mount Gahinga hiking safari, you will be picked up by the company guide and then transferred to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The transfer will take about 8 to 9 hours of the day and upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Hiking the Gahinga Mountain
You will start the day with an early morning breakfast, then you will go ahead to the transfer to the park headquarters. On arrival at the park headquarters, you will start over with briefing, and then after you will take about 3 to 4 hours to reach the summit of Gahinga. Then after, you will ascend back to the starting point of the hike. During the hike, you should expect to meet multiple primate species including mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, and white colobus monkeys. Isn’t this killing two birds with one stone?

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala
On the last day of the safari, after your breakfast, you will start over with the transfer back to Kampala. During the transfer, you will make a stopover at the equator for lunch. Then you will continue with the transfer back to Kampala. On arrival in Kampala, you will either be dropped off at the hotel of your choice or transferred to the airport for the flights back home. This will mark the end of your 3 days Mount Gahinga hiking safari.
