Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bukavu
On this day 1 of your 2 days Congo gorilla trekking from Kigali, you will be transferred from Kigali city to Bukavu in Congo. This is the nearest town to the Kahuzi Beige National Park. As you are being transferred to the park, you will have views of the thousands of hills in Rwanda. Lunch will be along the way and then continue with the journey to Bukavu via the Cyangugu border. As soon as you arrive in Bukavu the nearest town to the Kahuzi Biega National Park, you will check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lowland Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Beige National Park
Start your day with an early morning breakfast and then go to the park which is about 45 minutes. Upon arrival, you will start over with a briefing about lowland gorilla trekking. Then you will start on the search for the eastern lowland gorillas of Congo. The search will take 1 to 4 hours of the day. Once you see the lowland gorillas in their natural habitat, you will have one hour to view them. Then later, you will go back to the park headquarters for a transfer back to Bukavu. Upon arriving in Bukavu, you will start over with lunch and then continue with a transfer back to Kigali Rwanda for your outbound flights or hotel transfer. The driver will drop you at either a hotel of your choice in Kigali or the airport.
