Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali City Tour and transfer to Akagera National Park
You will meet our driver guide Upon arriving at the Kigali International Airport. He or she will brief you about the 15 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari. You will embark on a Kigali city tour. During this tour, you will visit the Kimironko market. The safari will take you to the Genocide Memorial sites for a tour of the remains of people who succumbed to the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. Later on, you will proceed to Akagera National Park with an en-route lunch. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive in the Akagera National Park. The park is home to diverse wildlife species including the big five namely; elephant, leopard, buffalo, lion, and rhinoceros. Other animals to see include; giraffes, antelopes, and warthogs, to mention but a few. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will take a boat on Lake Ihema. The lake is home to many hippos and crocodiles. The tranquility at the lake is equally amazing. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park and afternoon canopy walk
After a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Nyungwe National Park. An optional game drive is available at an additional cost. Traverse the endless rolling hills towards the western provinces of Rwanda. Lunch will be along the way. Upon arrival, register with the park authorities and embark on the afternoon canopy walking tour. Nyungwe Forest National Park is a gem for safari goers. The park is home to many primate and bird species. Take that memorable picture while standing on top of the forest. In the evening, you will check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will go to the park headquarters for a briefing, you will head out for chimpanzee trekking. The activity is somewhat challenging but the reward is worth the effort. Upon meeting the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence. You will see other primates like the white colobus monkeys. You will return to your lodge for lunch. Later on, you will take a drive to Volcanoes National Park. The park is a primate capital as it is home to gorillas and golden monkeys. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Golden Monkey trekking and Gorilla Guardians Village Tour
This is one of the long-awaited days on your 15 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari. imagine a day in the presence of the golden monkeys. The day starts with a delicious breakfast at your lodge. You will report to the park headquarters for a briefing about golden monkey trekking. You will be led by a professional guide ranger into the thickets of Volcanoes National Park. Upon meeting the golden monkeys, you will spend one hour in their presence. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will visit the Gorilla Guardians Village. This village was established to support sustainable tourism and support the local members of the communities. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Tour Dian Fossey grave and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast at your lodge, you will visit the Dian Fossey grave. The grave is found in the Karisoke Research Center. The research center was established in commemoration of a great primatologist – Dian Fossey. Dian Fossey was an American primatologist who is believed to have been killed by poachers. She played a great role in the conservation of these critically endangered mountain gorillas. Later on, you will return to your lodge for lunch. Check out and embark on the journey to Uganda – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Mountain gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour
The day starts with a delicious cup of tea or coffee at your lodge. Later you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. Bwindi Impenetrable National has 4 major sectors. These include; the Ruhija sector, Nkuringo sector, Buhoma sector, and Rushaga sector. Your tracking will be done in one of these sectors. After the briefing, you will be assigned a professional ranger guide. He or she will lead you throughout the entire gorilla trekking expedition. Upon meeting the gorilla family, you have been looking for, you will be allowed to spend one hour in its presence. Later on, you will return to the lodge for lunch and cooling.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Batwa communities of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The Batwa will welcome you with traditional dances, local food, and hand-made products. Later on, you will transfer to a lodge near Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Explore Lake Bunyonyi
You are at Uganda’s deepest lake and a home to small birds. Start your day with a delicious and relaxed breakfast. You will take part in some of the safari activities on Lake Bunyonyi. These include swimming, high ropes, guided nature walks, a dugout canoe experience, a boat cruise, and community tours. The lake has over 29 islands and they are all yours to explore today. Lunch, dinner, and overnight will be at your safari lodge on Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and game drive in Ishasha Sector
After breakfast, check out of your safari lodge and take a drive to Uganda’s most popular safari destination, Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park was named after the late queen of England – Queen Elizabeth II. Lunch will be along the way. Explore the southern sector of the park known as the Ishasha Sector. The sector is home to the rare tree-climbing lions. You will see these magical species roaming the extensive savannah plains of the park. If it is your lucky day, you will meet a pride of lions hunting down a buffalo. Proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, you will take a game drive in the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The sector is frequented by buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and many other herbivores. There are also hundreds of Rift Valley endemic species of birds. Take a memorable picture at the Uganda Equator as you head back to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you will go to Katunguru or Mweya for a boat cruise. The cruise will introduce you to many hippos and crocodiles. Enjoy scenic views of the Rwenzori mountains, Lake George, and Lake Edward as the sun sets. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Start your day with a leisurely breakfast before checking out. Later on, you will take a drive to Kibale National Park. You will visit the Nyakasura Falls also known as Amabere Caves. Hike to the top of the world before having a delicious lunch in Fort Portal City. Proceed to Kibale National Park through tea plantations. You will be enjoying the scenic views of the Rwenzori Mountains. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Wetland Tour
This is one of the highlights of your spectacular 15 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari. The day will start with a delicious meal at your lodge. Report to Kanyanchu Park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking. Kibale National Park is also known as the primate capital of the world. As soon as the briefing is done, you will get a chance to start on your chimp search. Upon meeting these apes, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence. Ensure to capture as many pictures as you but follow the photography rules and regulations strictly. Return to your lodge for lunch refreshment.
In the afternoon, you will be led by a professional bird guide for an adventure into Magombe Wetland. The wetland is home to many endemic bird species including the blue Rwenzori turaco. Visit the banana village and taste local banana beer. A coffee tour is equally an amazing tour in addition to the women dancing. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and drive to Murchison Falls National Park. The park is Uganda’s largest and oldest National Park. It is famous for being home to the world’s strongest waterfalls. Lunch will be along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on River Nile
The day starts with an early breakfast. Later, you will take a game drive to explore Uganda’s biggest National Park. The park is home to 4 of the big 5 animals. Explore it as far as you can while seeing animals like lions, leopards, antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, and many more. Some of the birds to be seen include; the Abyssinian ground hornbill, hammer kops, African fishing eagle, great African kingfisher, and grey-crowned crested crane. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will take on a boat cruise on the Nile River. You are now at the world’s longest river. The cruise will take you to the bottom of the falls. From here, you will hike to the top of the world’s strongest waterfalls. The falls are amazingly good and they offer a scenic view for photography. In the evening, you will go to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Rhino Tracking and transfer to Kampala – Departure
On the final day of your safari, you will start with a leisurely breakfast. Check out of the lodge and embark on the drive to Kampala. You will have a lunch stopover in Masindi Town. Proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking. Explore the Sanctuary for stories of rhino conservation in Uganda. The driver will drop you at a hotel of your choice in Kampala. Alternatively, he or she will take you to Entebbe International Airport for an outbound flight. Bid farewell to Uganda as you end your 15 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari.
