15 Days Uganda-Rwanda Adventure Safari
The 15-day Uganda-Rwanda adventure safari will offer a close encounter with the wildlife and cultural heritage of Rwanda and Uganda. During this safari, you will visit amazing destinations. These include; Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, and Kibale National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Volcanoes National Park, Akagera National Park, and the Kigali City. Additionally, during this safari, you will have a close with the world’s endemic primates that is to say the gorillas, chimpanzees, golden monkeys, and other small primates.
More so, you will be able to see the different wildlife like the big five animals and other wildlife in the different parks visited through the game drive, boat cruise, rhino tracking, gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, golden monkey trekking, and many others. The other activities include hiking to the top of the falls, a Kigali city tour, a hike to the Dian Fossey tomb, a Batwa community visit, and a visit to the Gorilla Guardian village.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer from the airport to the hotel
As you arrive at the airport, you will be welcomed by the company guide. He or she will brief you about the 15 days Uganda-Rwanda safari. You will be transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Upon arriving at the hotel, you will go ahead with your dinner.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After your early morning breakfast of the day, you will begin the day with the transfer to the Murchison Falls National Park. During the transfer, you will make a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. This rhino sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be found. After the rhino tracking, you will continue for lunch within the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Once you arrive in the park, you will start hiking to the top of the falls. Later, you will be transferred to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Early morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
You will start the day with an early morning game drive within the park. The game drive or the game viewing will offer the opportunity to encounter the wildlife within the park. The wildlife includes lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and many others. Later on, you will be transferred back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. You will be transferred to Paara for the boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. While on the boat cruise, you will see different wildlife like hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, bird species, antelopes, and many other species. Then in the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to the Kibale National Park
After your early morning breakfast, you will have breakfast and then proceed to the transfer to the Kibale National Park. Upon arrival at the Fort Portal, you will start with lunch and then head to the Tooro kingdom for the cultural experience. Then you will later in the evening head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Community Tour
You will begin the day with the morning breakfast and you will head to the park with your packed lunch. As you arrive in the park, you will start with the briefing about the chimpanzee trekking. You will start over with the chimpanzee trekking which will take you about 2 to 6 hours of the day. After your chimpanzee trekking, you will visit the Bigodi community village for wetland walks, coffee tours, and many others.

Day 6: Transfer to the Elizabeth National Park
You will start the day with the transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The transfer will be through lush green tea plantations. Visit the Kasenda area where you will have the opportunity to see different crater lakes within the area. Once you arrive in the park, you will start with lunch. Then later, you will continue to the Mweya peninsular for the boat cruise. During the boat cruise in Mweya, you will have a great view of the peninsular, and also the wildlife will include hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, monitor lizards, and many other wildlife.

Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After your breakfast, you will be transferred to the northern sector of the park in the Kasenyi plains for the morning game drive. During the game drive, you will have the opportunity to have a view of the sunrise. Then the views of the wildlife like lions, leopards, kobs, warthogs, elephants, hippos and much other wildlife. After the game drive, you will visit the Kasenyi salt mines to see how the salt rocks are mined in the area. Later, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the Kazinga channel for the boat cruise, and during the boat cruise, you will see wildlife like monitor lizards, elephants, buffaloes, bird species, and many others.

Day 8: Transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will start day 8 of the 15 days Uganda-Rwanda adventure safari with the morning breakfast. Proceed with the transfer to the Bwindi impenetrable national park. While on your transfer, you will make a stopover in the southern sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. While in the southern sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will spot tree-climbing lions, leopards, kobs, and many others. Later, you will proceed to the Bwindi impenetrable park for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community
On day 9 of the 15 days of the Uganda-Rwanda adventure safari, start with the morning breakfast. You will then pack lunch and then move to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the gorilla trekking adventure. As you arrive in the park, you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Then later you will proceed with the gorilla trekking which will take about 2 to 8 hours of the day. Later on, you will be transferred to the Batwa community for the cultural experience. The Batwa are believed to be the inhabitants of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forests. In the evening, you will go back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park
You will start the day with the transfer to the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. During the transfer, you will cross to the land of a thousand hills – Rwanda. Upon arrival in Rwanda, you will be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival in Volcanoes National Park, you will start with lunch. Continue with an afternoon hike to the Dian Fossey grave. The hike will take about 4 hours of the day. See the grave of Dian Fossey and the other 20 graves of the people who were killed by the poachers.

Day 11: Golden Monkey Trekking and Gorilla Guardian Village Tour
While in the Volcanoes National Park, you will start the day with the transfer to the park headquarters for the golden monkey trekking briefing. The activity will last for 2 to 4 hours of the day upon which you will meet the golden monkeys. Also, you will be able to site other primates during the tracking of the golden monkeys. After the trekking, you will be transferred to the Gorilla Guardian village for the Rwanda cultural experience. While in the village, you will be able to engage in different cultural activities from the natives who are believed to be the former poachers, Batwa, and many others.

Day 12: Transfer to Akagera National Park
You will start the day with the transfer to the Akagera National Park which will be about 5 hours of travel. As you arrive in the park, you will head for lunch at the lodge and then you will be left to relax as you prepare for the next day’s adventure. Akagera National Park is the only savannah park in Rwanda. It is popular for being home to the big five animals; lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo.

Day 13: Game Drive and Boat cruise on Lake Ihema
After your early morning breakfast, you will be transferred into the park for the morning drive in Rwanda’s only savannah park which is home to the big five animals. During the game drive, you will see different wildlife like lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, and many others. Later on, you will head back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. Then later you will head to Lake Ihema for the boat cruise. During the boat cruise, you will see different wildlife like hippos, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, bird species, and many others. In the evening, you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Transfer to the Kigali city and City Tour
On day 14 of the 15 days Uganda -Rwanda adventure safari, you will be transferred to Kigali after your early morning breakfast. The transfer will take about 2 hours and 30 minutes the day. Upon arrival in Kigali, you will be transferred to the lodge for relaxation. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Kigali city for the city tour to different sites like the Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum, the presidential museum, and other sites.

Day 15: Transfer to the airport – Departure
On the last day of the safari, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flights back home. This will mark the end of your special 15 days Uganda -Rwanda adventure safari with us.
