Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to a hotel in Nairobi
You will meet our professional driver guide upon arrival at the Jommo Kenyatta International Airport. He or she will brief you about this special 10 Days Masai Mara, Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari. You drive for a few minutes to Nairobi. Check in to your hotel for lunch and relaxation. we assume you are from a long flight, that is why this day is meant for you to rest before hitting the road. Make the most of the lodge facilities like a bar, sauna, and restaurant. Spend the night over.

Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet your driver guide. You will embark on the drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. This is Kenya’s most famous safari destination. You will have lunch along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full-day game drives in Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will have a box of your lunch packed and take a full-day game drive in the vast expanse savannah plains of Masai Mara. You will get a chance to encounter the great wildebeest migration experience. This is the world’s largest animal movement. Lunch will be under a tree in the middle of nowhere to mark a significant memory on your Kenya and Uganda safari. proceed with the game drive and see as much as the park can offer. Return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Second-day Game drives in Masai Mara National Reserve
This is yet another wildebeest migration day on your 10 Days Masai Mara, Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari. The day will start with a delicious breakfast. This will be followed by another game drive in the Mara plains. You will meet animals like lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, zebras, and many more. Visit the Mara River and witness the wildebeests crossing through the jaws of crocodiles. Another picnic lunch will be organized in the bush. In the evening you will return to your accommodation facility for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Fly to Entebbe International Airport – Uganda
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to the nearby airfield for an Entebbe-bound flight. It will not take long before you see the words “Welcome to the Pearl of Africa”. At the Entebbe Airport, you will meet our Uganda representative. Meet and greet as you transfer to a hotel in Kampala. If time allows, you may do a short Kampala City tour. Dinner and overnight will be at your hotel.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is the real home to the endangered mountain gorillas. You will make a stop at the Uganda Equator for photography. Lunch will also be along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 7: Mountain gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour
After breakfast at your lodge, you will report to the park headquarters for a briefing about mountain gorilla trekking. For many travelers on a Uganda tour, this is the highlight of their safari. I guess it will be yours too. You will be led by a professional guide ranger into the impenetrable forests of Bwindi on the search for gorillas. Once you meet the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence. Return to your lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on a visit to the Batwa and Bakiga communities. This is the right time to witness the fruits of responsible and sustainable tourism in Uganda. The Batwa people are the first beneficiaries of gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Kibale National Park. Lunch will be along the way. It is somewhat a long-hour drive but the views are worth the effort. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland walk
The day starts with an early breakfast at your lodge. Later on, you will go to the Kanyanchu Park headquarters for a briefing about chimp trekking rules and regulations. The safari involves walking through the thick forests in search of these human-like apes. You will meet several primate species like baboons, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and more. The park is also a reliable birding destination. Upon meeting the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence. Later on, you will return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will visit Magombe or Bigodi swamp for a nature walk. Get up close with diverse bird and butterfly species. Visit the banana village, and coffee plantations, and see women dancing traditional dances. Return to your lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 10: Transfer to Kampala – Departure
Once you get done with your breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Kampala. Lunch will be along the way.
