Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Full-day Birding tour in Mabira Forest

Upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast at a hotel in Kampala, meet our driver guide. He or she will brief you about your Mabira Forest birding tour. You will embark on the drive to Mabira Forest along Kampala – Jinja road. Upon arrival at the forest headquarters, you will be registered and assigned a professional bird guide. You will start the search for the numerous bird species of Uganda. Some of the common bird species to be spotted include; the hadada ibis, black-headed weaver bird, marabou stork, Red-chested sunbird, palm nut vulture, and many more. You will enjoy the views of the green undergrowth as well as the best canopy. Lunch will be at any of the accommodation facilities nearby.

An optional visit to the source of the Nile is available upon request. In the later hours of the day, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight. Alternatively, the driver guide will drop you at the Entebbe International Airport for an outbound flight. This will mark the end of your amazing Mabira Forest birding safari tour.
